Who runs this
ParentProof.com is operated by ParentProof.org, a registered non-profit. The board is rotating, the funding sources are public, and the editorial direction is set by the parent reviewer community. The full governance story lives at parentproof.org.
What runs the classification
AEGIS is one input in the ParentProof review workflow. ParentProof.org defines the rubric, sets editorial policy, and decides how classifications are presented on this site.
What this site is right now
The marketing site is live; the directory is bootstrapping. Listings on the marketing site are seeded fixtures so visitors can see what the directory will look like. Once the community ratings open, the seeded fixtures are replaced with real community data and AEGIS scores. The signature game on the homepage uses canonical rounds drawn from real classification cases AEGIS has run.
What this site is not
Not a parenting blog. Not a content-recommendation algorithm. Not a venture-backed startup looking to flip the kid-content category. The goal is simple: parents see two ratings (community and AEGIS), parents see where they disagree, parents pick what to do with that information.
How to help
The most useful thing a parent can do today is submit reviews and create lists. The most useful thing a creator can do is submit their content for honest classification at submit a listing. Donations support moderation costs; details live at parentproof.org.
