Create your ParentProof account

Four steps, and the page says which of them are live today. The account is free during private testing and takes an email address and a password — no card, at any point on this site.

  • No card, and no card field on this site
  • Both parents on one account

The whole flow

Four steps, and what each one really does

Nothing below is a mock-up of a flow we intend to build. Each step names the thing that happens, and where a step is not switched on yet it says so instead of showing you a button that would not work.

  1. Create the account

An email address and a password, entered on the ParentProof web account. This is the account that then signs into your dashboard and into the setup app on a computer, so there is only ever one. Creating it needs no card and starts no payment. Start here.

  2. Verify your email

A verification email goes out the moment the account exists, and opening the link in it marks the address verified. Verification is not yet a gate. The dashboard currently lets an unverified account in and carries its own banner saying so. We would rather write that here than let you assume a check is running that is not.

  3. Choose a plan

Plans differ by capacity — how many children, and how many tablets or computers between them — never by which protections you get. The catalog below is read from our server, so what you see here is what the server would charge for, not a copy of it typed into this page.

  4. Pay on Stripe's own page

Our server creates a checkout session and hands your browser to Stripe. The card fields are Stripe's, on a page Stripe serves; ParentProof never renders, receives or stores a card number, in the browser, in a dashboard, or in an installer. This step is not switched on during private testing — see the note below.

The intended plans

This is the planned catalog, not an offer to buy. Every tier includes every released feature; the difference is capacity. Subscriptions and credit purchases are unavailable during private testing, and a test account still needs no card.

Credit buckets for Parent Guard app scans are listed separately on the pricing page, and are equally unavailable today.

What is switched on today

The honest state of each step, so nothing on this page implies a door that is closed.

Working now

  • Creating the account, with a password you choose
  • The verification email, sent when the account is created
  • The dashboard, in any browser, on any phone
  • Inviting a second parent onto the same account

Not switched on yet

  • Paid subscriptions and the checkout step — billing is dormant behind a deployment approval that is not set
  • Credit purchases for app scans
  • Email verification as a hard gate on the dashboard
  • A public download of the setup app — what that means

Why the payment step is dark rather than simply untested. Billing is held behind a separate deployment approval on the server, on purpose: the presence of working payment credentials must not be enough on its own to start charging anyone. Until that approval is set and the plan catalog is connected to real prices, the checkout route answers with a refusal rather than a payment page — which is why this site shows you the plans and does not show you a buy button.

The card rule, which does not change when billing opens. ParentProof pages never collect card details — not this site, not the dashboard, not the desktop installer, not the phone apps. The only place a card number is ever typed is a checkout page served by Stripe. Anything that looks like a ParentProof card form is not ours.

Questions people ask at this point

Do I need a card to try it?

No. Creating the account and opening the dashboard are free during private testing, and there is no card field anywhere on this site. Setting up a device additionally needs the setup app, which is not a public download yet.

Why is the account created on a different address?

This site is a directory of static files — it has no server of its own, by design, so that the marketing pages cannot become something to keep patched. Your account, your password and your session belong to the application at platform.parentproof.com, and the signup form lives with them rather than on a page that could not hold them safely.

What happens if I never open the verification email?

Today, nothing is blocked — verification is recorded but not enforced, and the dashboard says so. Your dashboard can send the email again at any time. If you signed up with an address you cannot open, contact support rather than making a second account.

If I stop paying later, does my child's tablet unlock?

No, and this is a rule in the code rather than a policy we intend to follow: the entitlement logic is written so that no billing state can turn protection off. A lapsed payment loses paid features. It does not unlock a tablet, restore a blocked app, or disable the filter.

Can both parents use the same account?

Yes, and it is included in every tier. One parent creates an invite code, the other enters it, and they see the same devices and the same settings. Nothing is emailed — the code is handed over the way a pairing code is.
